Save the Date!

We’re Already Preparing for Residential Infrastructure Day, May 20th, 2025!

Introducing Residential Infrastructure Day

After a successful First Annual Residential Infrastucture Day, we’re already getting ready for May 20th, 2025. This new holiday celebrates the utilities, municipalities and service providers who support the “last mile” of infrastructure. It’s the electric, sewer, water, and cable lines that connect homes to utility systems, and household heating, cooling, and water heating equipment essential for safe, comfortable, and productive daily living.

Residential Infrastructure Day focuses attention on the importance of these facilities and the providers who ensure that all families have equitable access to clean water, comfortable temperatures, efficiency, and communication technology in their homes through education, maintenance and repair solutions, and programs and resources for underserved communities.

Support the Last Mile of Infrastructure

Who can be a part of Residential Infrastructure Day?

Any organization – municipalities, utilities, cooperatives, associations, or service providers – that support the essential lines, systems, and assets necessary for safe, comfortable, and productive daily living, and ensure equitable access to clean water, comfortable temperatures, efficiency, and communication technology in the home is welcomed to participate. There is no fee for entry. Just commit to doing something to raise awareness about the importance of residential infrastructure among your residents and customers, in your community or across the country.

How can Residential Infrastructure Day be celebrated and promoted?

We invite organizations to participate in whatever way makes sense for them. Organizations can utilize #ResidentialInfrastructureDay to raise awareness of the importance of residential infrastructure by providing education to homeowners on their websites, social media, and other channels.

Posts and other communications can remind homeowners about their responsibility for these assets and offer maintenance tips and support.

About Residential Infrastructure Day

Residential Infrastructure Day was conceived by HomeServe to shine a light on the importance of the “last mile” of infrastructure, and the organizations who ensure all families have safe, comfortable and efficient environments for living and working. May 20, 2024 is the first of what we envision will be annual celebrations, and we encourage all utilities, municipalities and service providers to share their stories and help Residential Infrastructure Day to grow in prominence in the coming years.
